The parish church of Christ
Church, Chatburn dates back to 1838 and serves the villages of Chatburn
and Worston.
It
is one of the finest examples of Victorian Romanesque architecture
and possesses some of the finest examples of Victorian stained glass
windows in the Diocese of Blackburn.
Its
Sunday services are mainly from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer,
although there is a more informal Family Service held each month.
The
Vicar, The Rev. Rodney Nicholson, seeks to exercise a Biblically
based preaching and pastoral ministry.
Visitors
are warmly welcome to attend the Sunday services.
